Training for the whole workforce
We believe that training is the foundation for our success. We have always worked to ensure that our workforce are fully trained and competent at every level. Every employee receives regular job-specific training and refresher instruction to maintain our ability to carry out any project with confidence.
We have 3 Craft Apprentices and a Junior Surveyor undergoing training through Dudley, Sandwell and Stourbridge Colleges
We are working with Future Skills Dudley and the Brierley Hill Regeneration Partnership and providing ‘on-site’ training for one of their trainees.

CSCS Card Status
We have achieved 94% CSCS Card status as a Company and are working towards 100% conformity in line with industry best practice.
All our site operatives are CSCS Card holders having recently completed the CSCS Health & Safety Test and appropriate craft and equipment training.

Regular Training Days
Recently at one of our regular ‘Training Days’ we updated training for all construction staff in Manual Handling as part of our policy of continual development of training. The completion of comprehensive and consistent group training creates the level of understanding between everyone on site of their duties and responsibilities and the Company procedures to provide them with the safe working environment that is the principal target for us all.

We are a member of CITB
As members of the CITB our structured approach to training & developing construction skills is used to strengthen our experienced team of Managers, Site Agents and Operatives.
All our Construction Managers and Site Managers are CSCS Card holders having completed The CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme.

Considerate Constructors
A&H Construction is fully committed to the Principles set out in the The Considerate Constructors Scheme which is the national initiative, set up by the construction industry, to improve its image and aims to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole with respect to the environment, the workforce and the general public.
Recent major projects have received the coverted Certificate of Compliance in all eight sections of the Scheme's Code of Considerate Practice.
