Louis Group (UK) Limited, European Headquarters

Following a competitive single tender we were awarded this illustrious project to construct a prestigious new office block to form the new European Headquarters for the internationally renowned 'Louis Group'. The building totals just over 2000 square metres and is built to the latest BREEAM Excellent standard, utilising materials and workmanship to the very high quality.

The works involved the erection of a two storey steel framed building on a concrete pad and strip piled foundations. Due to the poor ground conditions pre-cast concrete was utilised to form the ground floor along with the staircases. The first floor was constructed from in situ concrete. Cavity external walls were formed with a variety of finishes including natural stone, facing brickwork, through colour render and insulated cladding with double glazed aluminium windows and curtain walling systems giving it the unique identification the Client desired. Automatic glazed entrance sliding doors and electrically operated roller shutter doors provide access to the new facility.

Internally, finishes consisted of stud partitions with plaster finishes, demountable partitioning systems, suspended and plasterboard ceilings, kitchen installations, toilets and ancillary accommodation to the office areas. The building is installed with the latest internal mechanical and electrical services including electrical distribution, voice, data, heating and ventilation plant / equipment, lighting, security, fire protection and lift installation.

Externally all necessary mechanical and electrical installations, service connections, roadways, pavements, car parking, foul and surface water drainage and landscaping where installed by ourselves.

The project does not only incorporate the exceptional architectural features of the stonework and render to the external facade but also a spectacular curved chrome plated staircase within the atrium reception. This was complimented by the outstanding water feature located externally. The project was awarded a runner up award for 'Built in Quality' from Stratford Upon Avon District Council.
