Andyfreight Limited, Two Storey Office & Warehouse

Since Andyfreights’ formation in 1986, they have enjoyed steady growth and gained a reputation as a leading national haulage specialist. 

To cope with this growth and the influx of new client’s, Andyfreight awarded A & H Construction the Contract to build Unit 3 in their Business Park.  The new purpose built warehouse unit has an integral two storey office accommodation for its management and staff.

Prior to the commencement of the steel portal frame, a series of retaining walls were installed overcoming the natural topography and ensuring a level platform before works commenced.  The steel portal frame was clad with Kingspan composite cladding to both the walls and roof with wrap-around curtain walling system to the integral offices, the ground bearing floor slab was insitu concrete.

The integral two storey office accommodation was constructed from blockwork with an insitu concrete floor slab bearing upon it.  The internal finishes to the offices included stud partitioning with plaster finishes, suspended ceilings, kitchen installations and toilet facilities.

The external works comprised of an access road with associated retaining walls linking it to Units One  and Two and all necessary service installations and connections, roadways, pavements, car parking, trailer parking, foul and surface water drainage and landscaping works.

Through a co-ordinated collaborative approach to construction within the operational Andyfreight Business Park, we ensured that Andyfreights’ operatives remained unaffected throughout the construction period.
