Big Yellow Self Storage Birmingham, Storage Facility

In recent years Big Yellow Self Storage has become the leader in the UK Self Storage industry and thus on a continual expansion programme.  Following a competitive single stage tender process we were successfully awarded the contract to construct a Big Yellow Self Storage facility in Birmingham. 

The works commenced with a vibro-piled ground solution upon which the steel portal frame was erected.  The external walls were constructed from a mixture of facing brickwork and concrete blockwork flat panel cladding and aluminium curtain walling systems.  Access to the facility is through either the automatic glazed entrance sliding doors or the manual roller shutter doors.  Internally the Reception area consisted of stud partitions with plaster finishes and demountable partitioning systems which were inclusive of the installation of the mechanical and electrical services.  All associated decorative finishes and fixings were carried out as part of the contract.

All necessary external works were carried out including service connections, roadways, pavements, car parking, foul and surface water drainage and landscaping works.
