City Link Distribution Centre, Distribution Centre

A&H Construction were employed to build a new 30,000 sqft Distribution Warehouse with an internal two-storey Office Complex.

City Link is one of the UK’s premier express delivery companies.  After a competitive tender process construction was underway to build their new Distribution Warehouse with internal Offices in Kidderminster.

Works comprised of the erection of a steel-framed building shell on concrete pads and strip foundations and the installation of an internal pre-cast concrete ground beam and stairs.

External walls were constructed of a mixture of concrete block and brickwork, metal cladding and aluminium curtain walling systems with glazed entrance doors.

Electrically operated roller shutter doors were installed with dock levellers to vehicle loading bays.

Internal finishes consisted of stud partitions with plaster finishes, demountable partitioning systems, suspended and plasterboard ceilings, kitchen installations, toilets and ancillary accommodation to office areas.

The installation of all internal mechanical and electrical services, including electrical distribution, voice data, heating and ventilation plant/equipment, lighting, security, fire protection and lift installation, together with all associated decorative finishes and fixings.

External works including all the necessary mechanical and electrical installations, service connections, roadways, pavements, car parking, foul and surface water drainage and landscaping works.
