DSV Road Limited, Extension to Distribution Warehouse Unit

DSV offer premier end-to-end transport and logistical solutions through their three divisions of Road, Air and Sea. 

This particular project was for the DSV Road Division who handle the transportation of domestic goods throughout Europe.  Through natural expansion of DSV Road Limited we were awarded this Contract to build an extension to their existing Unit in Tamworth. 

Prior to the erection of the steel portal frame to the north west of the existing building, we first removed waste spoil heaps located within the extension footprint, we then erected the steel portal frame on concrete pad and strip foundations. 

The external envelope consisted of profiled insulated cladding panels to match the existing Unit. 

Internally, all mechanical and electrical services were installed including electrical distribution, voice, data, heating and ventilation and plant and equipment, lighting, security, fire protection and lift installation.

Additionally, we carried out all decorative finishes and fixings.

Due to the excellent relationship we had with the Client, we were awarded additional works which included the alterations to the existing north east elevation to incorporate additional dock levellers and ramped level access with a canopy to the north west elevation.

We also carried out all necessary mechanical and electrical installations, service connections, roadways, pavements, car parking, foul and surface water drainage and landscaping works. 

Externally, we replaced the existing stone area to the north west boundary with concrete hardstandings.
