Evans Easyspace, Enterprise Centre

This particular project was awarded to A & H Construction following a single stage competitive tender.

 

Known as the ‘Rural Enterprise Centre’, this project consisted of four office units, a communal office unit and thirteen workshop units, totalling 18,710 square feet.

 

Evans Easyspace developed these units in partnership with Advantage West Midlands and Herefordshire County Council.  To minimise occupiers energy usage and carbon footprint the units were built to a BREEAM Very Good rating.

 

Constructed in two single storey buildings, the office and workshop units were built with a steel frame upon concrete pads and strip foundations.  The roof was constructed from insulated profiled steel cladding and the external walls a mixture of traditional brick and blockwork with vertical and horizontal cladding, aluminium doors and windows and curtain walling systems.

 

Internally the buildings were finished with blockwork partitions with plaster finishes, suspended and plasterboard ceilings, toilets and ancillary accommodation to the office areas.  We also installed all associated mechanical and electrical services.

 

Externally all necessary roadways, pavements, car parking, foul and surface water drainage and landscaping works were carried out.
