James Grove, Manufacturing & Warehouse Facility
This project was stage one of a two phased development, the second being a Residential development on an adjacent site.
Enabling works comprised the demolition of the existing buildings followed by the crushing and stockpiling of salvaged bricks and concrete. Superfluous steel and other materials were then salvaged wherever possible and re-used in the project later on.
The steel framed building comprised a 25,000 square foot Manufacturing and Warehouse facility with an integral two storey Office and Amenity Block.
The building exterior was constructed using a combination of twin skin, built up vertical wall cladding, composite roof sheeting, cavity feature brickwork, aluminium composite windows and doors, together with insulated sectional roller shutter doors to the Warehouse area.
Internally, the offices were fully air-conditioned and incorporated a mezzanine floor to three-quarters of the Warehouse area.
Externally, hard landscaped areas consisted of concrete service yards to the side and rear of the building, with tarmac car parking to the entrance area.
