Percy Business Park, Distribution Warehouse & Office Unit

Coltham Developments needed to develop an extensive brownfield site as part of their modernisation plans for Percy Business Park. 

A&H Construction worked closely with them to construct a 50,000 square foot Distribution Warehouse and Office Unit.  The steel framed insulated cladded building incorporates wrap-around external glazing to the office pod and 4 dock-levellers.

The high quality two-storey offices were constructed to BREEAM Very Good Standard.  Fully fitted-out they include a lift, air-conditioning and modern glazed screen partitions.

The remainder of the site has been developed to provide two blocks; creating 14 high specification starter units each approximately 1,000 square feet.  They consist of a steel-framed cladded building with masonry dividing walls, incorporating sectional overhead doors, offices and wc facilities.

An important part of the development was the attention to environmental issues, for that reason the project was designed to manage the demolition with extensive ‘cut and fill’ to eliminate cart-away from site, and ensure all salvageable material was 100% recycled as site-fill creating landscaped car parks, concrete hard-standing with block paved and tarmac footpaths around all unit frontages.
