Old Swinford Hospital School Food Technology Building, Food Technology Building

Following on from the successful completion of the Sports Hall Extension and Alterations, Old Swinford Hospital School kindly negotiated and awarded A&H Construction this project for a single storey new Food Technology Building. 

Prior to commencing the demolition of the existing Boiler House, we first diverted all existing services and provided a temporary hot water facility for the duration of the construction period.

The new Food Technology building is constructed of a steel frame with a tiled pitched roof to   imitate the existing buildings, with brickwork elevations, incorporating powder coated aluminium curtain walling, windows and doors.

The new building not only contained Food Technology Classrooms but a new Boiler Room replacing the Boiler House which was demolished to make way for the new Food Technology building.

The School and Sports Hall remained operational throughout the works with the exception of the School holidays.
