Winterfold House School Performing Arts Block, Performing Arts & Music Block

Following on from the successful completion of the Classroom Block, Winterfold House School kindly negotiated and awarded A&H Construction this project for a single storey new Performing Arts & Music Block.

The construction process first commenced with the demolition of the existing buildings.  The chosen solution for the construction was load bearing brick and blockwork with flat roof joists and single ply membrane forming the roof. 

Internally, the finishes consisted of underfloor heating with a floor screed on top; plasterboard, skimmed and decorated walls; MF ceilings; joinery; carpet and vinyl floor coverings and mechanical and electrical works, consisting of electrical distribution, heating and ventilation, lighting and security.

The site was very restricted and space limited for material deliveries, thus all deliveries were carefully co-ordinated with the Site Manger and delivered in quantities for the space available on site. 

Our Clients’ were extremely pleased with the finished facility, which was officially opened by HRH The Earl of Wessex.
