Car Showrooms, Major Car Dealerships

A&H Construction have carried out the construction of Car Showroom Facilities for many years.  Below are a number of projects illustrating the type of works that we have completed:-

Refurbishment of KIA Motors Garage, Penn Road, Wolverhampton

Our Client approached us to alter and extend the existing Kia Dealership facility.  Works were generally limited to the ground floor areas of the premises, although operations did extend to the first floor offices above the existing Parts Store, future Service Reception and the adjoining stairwell.  The Showroom area was increased by removing   existing internal offices and adjoining Workshop used to accommodate the Parts Store, with additional offices and Service/Parts Reception.  Externally the building was re-clad and rendered and replacement Showroom windows installed.  Works included a new Entrance area which improved existing Pedestrian and Vehicular access into the building, and created new access for the Service area.  Whilst the ground floor was vacated for the duration of the works, the first floor was occupied by the Client and both staircases remained in use during normal working hours.

New Citroen Car Showroom, West Street, Wolverhampton

This prestigious new Car Showroom comprised firstly of the erection of a new steel frame on reinforced concrete foundations.  Insulated profile steel cladding was utilised for the external envelope incorporating powder coated aluminium curtain walling, windows and doors.  Internally, we constructed stud partitions with plaster finishes, demountable partitioning systems, suspended and plasterboard ceilings, kitchen installation, toilets and ancillary accommodation to office areas.  Mechanical and electrical services included electrical distribution, voice, data, heating and ventilation, plant and equipment, lighting, security, fire protection and lift installation all constructed as per the specification.  Externally we constructed roadways, pavements, car parking and landscaping.

New Car Showroom, Grange Road, Stourbridge

The existing Car Showroom was in a position of disrepair; as a result, our Client approached us to construct a new larger Car Showroom.  Prior to demolition works commenced with the removal of asbestos insulation materials and the demolition of the existing Showroom and Workshop.  Following demolition by ourselves ground conditions were improved through drilling and grouting.  The new building was of steel frame construction on reinforced concrete foundations with a ground bearing concrete ground floor slab.  The building was clad with insulated  profiled  sheet cladding to the walls and roof with powder coated aluminium shop front, windows and doors and a complete  internal fit-out.

Alterations, Auto Park, West Street, Wolverhampton

We successfully carried out the conversion of the existing PDI Building into a new Car Showroom, this involved the demolition of internal offices and mezzanine floor and part removal of the front elevation brickwork, replacing it with curtain walling and automatic glazed entrance sliding doors.  The Car Showroom had a complete internal fit-out, creating areas through new stud partitioning with plaster finishes, demountable partitioning systems, suspended and plasterboard ceilings, kitchen installations, toilets, ancillary accommodation and mechanical and electrical services.

Alterations to Car Showroom, Bridge Street, Wednesbury

This project included a new Car Showroom, Valet Bay, Service Workshop and External Works:-

Car Showroom

Removal of internal blockwork partition walls and timber mezzanine floor to form the open Car Showroom area.  Removal of non-load bearing brickwork elevations, installation of sundry steelwork and extension of glazed doors and windows and replacement of associated cladding across the front elevation to match the existing.  Construction of new offices and toilets within the showroom area including associated internal finishes consisting of stud partitions with plaster finishes, demountable partitioning systems, suspended and plasterboard ceilings, toilets and ancillary accommodation to office areas.  Alterations to existing services and installation of all internal mechanical and electrical services.

Valet Bay

Removal of internal partition walls and existing toilet.  Construction of new store, canteen and toilets, including associated internal finishes consisting of stud partitions with plaster finishes, plasterboard ceilings etc.

Service Workshop

Removal of redundant window openings.  Replacement entrance doors and windows.  Overcladding to existing brickwork.

External Works

Removal of brick walls and installation of railings in lieu.  Repairs and remodelling  of the existing yards and paving's.  Construction of entrance canopies.  Fencing

and gates.  Associated works to external services and drainage.

New Car Showroom & Workshop, Millennium Park, West Bromwich

Works comprised of the following:-

Demolition of a steel canopy.  Construction of a new Car Showroom including Sales offices and welfare facilities, comprising of vibro-piling, structural steelwork, roofing and cladding, curtain walling, windows and doors.  Installation of all internal mechanical and electrical services, including electrical distribution, heating and ventilation, lighting, security, fire protection and lift installation.  All associated decorative finishes and fixings.  External works including all necessary services installations and connections, retaining walls, roadways, pavements, car parking, foul and surface water drainage and landscaping works.
