Co-Op Supermarket, Supermarket

This project for the Co-Operative was successfully won following a Design & Build Single Stage Tender and consisted of the construction of a retail shell and associated external works.

The works comprising of the following:-

• A steel-framed building shell on concrete pad and strip foundations with brickwork and blockwork external cavity walls incorporating curtain walling, windows and doors.    
• Composite profiled steel roof cladding and associated rainwater goods. 
• 200mm reinforced concrete ground bearing floor slab.
• Installation of lighting protection, electrical services, including electrical distribution, heating and ventilation and lighting.
• External works included all necessary services, installations and connections, retaining walls, roadways, pavements, car parking, foul and surface water drainage and landscaping.

The site was very restricted and space limited for deliveries.  All material deliveries were co-ordinated with the Site Manager and delivered in the quantities for the space available on site.  All vehicles arriving without prior arrangement were turned away.
