Makro Stores, General Wholesaler

Makro is a general wholesaler to the retail trade supplying a whole host of bulk products from provisions, white goods, office supplies and general equipment for all business sectors.

Due to expansion, we successfully tendered for three Makro Stores, Coventry, Norwich and Exeter.  Each Store varied from 100,000 – 150,000 square feet, including a restaurant, welfare facilities and inclusive of two storey offices.

A & H Construction also carried out the complete refurbishment of seven existing stores, Bristol, Croydon, Enfield, Halesowen, Leeds, Nottingham and Southampton, modernising and improving both ‘back of store’ and customer facilities without affecting the trading of the stores.

All these projects were carried out using a ‘fast-track management system’, developed by ourselves in order to meet the Clients’ time priorities. 

The system included multi-shift working and highly planned and developed team working, enabling all the stores to be completed on time and within budget.
