Next Retail Store, Retail Store

Works comprised of an Enabling Package which included the demolition of the elevated Mono Rail Station and several of the mall units including the diversion of the mains drainage and utilities thereby clearing the area for the new ‘Next Superstore’ development works.

The new Superstore was constructed on two levels with provision at roof level for a future third floor.

The design incorporated large clear span floor areas to provide flexible retail space, passenger and goods lifts, escalators and feature staircase linking the two floors again with the opportunity for expansion to the third floor.

The remodelling of the existing mall entrance was carried out with automated sliding and revolving doors.  In addition a new bridge link to the multi-storey car park was also built.

Careful consideration was required to ensure that no disruption occurred to adjoining stores during the construction process.
